Why did we write Grids for kids?:
Originally, we did not intend to write a book. Instead, we set out to buy one … and just couldn’t find it. We wanted our oldest daughter to experience the joys of solving a logic grid puzzle, and thus sallied forth to find a good beginner level workbook. Now, there are many excellent puzzle books out there. And there may even be one at the precise level we desired. But our search came up empty. We consider our daughter to be bright (what parent doesn’t?), but still the puzzles were just a little too advanced for a first-timer. We don’t mind helping and guiding, but too often we found ourselves carrying. Our daughter needed something simpler on which to learn and to familiarize herself with the solution process. In our searches, we found an isolated puzzle here and there that fit the bill, but not a large number grouped together. So, we finally decided to write our own – and this is the result.
